The AMD chip seems to be no slouch. Also seems AMD runs 5%-10% lower cpu usage. Pretty respectable IMO.

I would assume the 2700X is showing lower cpu usage because it's an 8 core 16 thread cpu compared to the 8700K being 6 cores 12 threads.

AMD is doing a great job with the new gen CPU's. Hopefully they keep Intel on their toes to keep innovating, I was pretty close on getting a threadripper but was swayed by the 7900x.

If I need to choose between Ryzen 2 and Intel I will wait to Intel become competitive with cores in mainstream. But just in case if someone hurry than i7-8700K+EVGA Z370 Micro. From ASUS boards definitely Code. But mainstream CPU is more for mATX motherboards. New Intel 8 core will stay with same or better single threaded performance than i7-8700K and compatitive with number of cores to 2700X. Dominant with Frequency. But Intel should abandon thermal paste. I will freaked for successor of Z370 Micro, Z390 Micro and i7-9700K 8C/16T. My custom loop, possibility to push i7-9700K on more than 4.7GHz on 8 cores. AMD is good, competitive but I never had so stable and nice overclocking platforms as Z77 and X99. If NVIDIA take us OC at least we could play with processors. But I afraid that Intel will again to screw up something with price, thermal paste, and than AMD will launch 2800X and they will recognize mistakes.

People today need to use i7-8700K+GTX1080 to reach some better graphic details but same performance could be reached with i5 and GTX1060 if game developers spend more time to polish and optimize better games. But who would spend 5000$ on RIGs than. People will pay max 1000-1500$ for high end PC. Now this is disaster, I can't afford 32GB 3200MHz memory, I need to spend 400-450 euro on such kit.
