Hi, The post code on my x299 micro is changing all the time when Windows 10 is running. It jumps between 23 to 23 and from 34 to 36. Is this normal? My old Asus board was showing constantly the same Code once booted up (40 or AA). EDIT: Today the system did not boot up hanging at post code 32 or 33 while showing the bootlogo. After a restart the System booted up normally. Does anybody know what the root cause could be? regards PS. Some specs: i9-7900x, Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200 4x16GB, Samsung 950 pro, EVGA 1080 Ti SC2

You're right! Thanks! The only remaining question is now why the board sometimes hangs before booting from SSD. I loaded now the default settings in the UEFI (since I didn't do this after updating to 1.12). Hope this fixes the issue.

That should hopefully fix it since updating a BIOs can sometimes change some settings. Let us know if you still have problems

It was a Windows issue. I just didn't notice that it's a Windows issue because in UEFI mode Windows uses the UEFI boot logo. I've repaired now the Installation and it works again. EDIT: Meanwhile I figured out that I have to disable fastboot. With fastboot enabled I got the error message 0x0000225 (issue with hyberfil.sys).

Why is desktop computer hibernating? Check power management settings. Allow only sleep.

Not to side track the thread - but was the issue with coming out of sleep and having the windows 10 clock run 4 seconds longer then wall clock an AMD thing or affect all systems? Reference: https://youtu.be/nTdgB63xGX8

Great Question. I disable hibernating & fast boot in the Bios. Then Run a Command Prompt as Admin and the Run powercfg -h off This deletes the hyberfil.sys file.

That's exactly what I did. This fast boot option uses hibernation for booting faster.

I've never had good luck with hibernation on a desktop; with the boot times using an SSD so much faster than using an HDD, I see no need for it anymore. I've also seen a large number of problems with Windows Fast Boot, as it doesn't allow a computer to fully shut down. Instead, as zg25678 mentions, it puts the computer in a hibernate state, so RAM isn't fully cleared.
