How does bit locker function with out tpm answers any body?

Hello thanks for the welcome into the community I did some research and the evga motherboards are not embedded with a tpm so I was thinking what does Microsoft BitLocker function if there is no TPM can the bit locker still function even though there is no tpm present and what other features are limited due to the absence of a tpm.

    I use BitLocker on both business machines with TPM and consumer hardware without TPM. Just set a password to unlock the disk every time at boot.
     
    And of course make sure you backup BitLocker your recovery key, onto USB flash, print it onto paper, and if you are using Windows 10 with MS account you can back it up there in your account/computer profile as well.

    bitlocker can be used with or with out a tpm, you can use either a pin or a usb drive at boot. other features of the tpm are mostly business related features like DRM, software keys and platform integrity.
