Hey,
Two months ago I bought GTX 1080 Ti SC2 HYBRID mostly using it for rendering, installed it and everything works fine(25 degree on idle, 35-40 on full load). Afterwards I decided to install my old GTX 680 along with GTX 1080ti SC2 Hybrid, it is sometimes crucial to have 2-gpu's card when working in 3D apps. Well, I checked temperatures and it goes 91 degree (full load) on my GTX 1080ti Sc2 Hybrid, so I figured out that SC2 Hybrid Pump doesn't work. Removed Gtx680 and everything works fine again 35-40 degree (full load). Obvious reason for me was shortfall of power, so I decided to change my PSU 850w (yeah old socket 2011 consume a lot). I didn't find any proper PSU 1000w or 1200w (Hello miners), so temporally I installed two 700w PSU until I figured out where to buy proper PSU. Installed everything back Gtx680 and GTX 1080ti SC2Hybrid, 35-40 degree on full load. So, after one month of using it in this condition my Pump stopped again, restarted my Pc fix the problem. Is it normal that pump will stop periodically? or maybe two 700w gives some kind of breakage? Honestly didn't know that water cooling systems are to sensitive to power stability/consumption.. kind a noob in water cooling systems.
If the problem in defectiveness of GTX 1080ti SC2 Hybrid, what is alternative of RMA? RMA sounds kind of headache for me, I'm using this card for daily rendering and I'm not living in US. Can I replace Waterblock Cooler by myslef? of course with all responsibility. What kind of water block you suggest?
Thanks in advance!
