Are you referring to Boinc Utopia project?
Actually is a waste of resources to set up mining under Boinc. For example most mining pools charge 2% or less fees whereas Boinc Utopia has to charge 10% fees to cover its operations (i.e.: 8% is wasted in setting up duplicated mining infra and operation costs). If any Boinc project needs funding, they just need to set up a Bitcoin Wallet to receive donation.

Yes, It is not about getting Coins. The Coins are given to other BOINC Projects to help them out with Funds. Myself I do not want any Coins. But thank you for the information.

Thanks, This last Sunday or Saturday night the Pool Server was down so no ASIC Tasks would run. We did hit 50 Billion today, no badge though.

When it is down you should suspend Bitcoin Utopia in the BOINC Client. Do you have GPU suspended in BOINC Client? If so you cannot compete tasks. Now if you update to version 7.4.36 you can.

I'll try upgrading to new boinc.. but seriously what is up with AVG!?!? I never had this problem with the virus' b4.. How is it still happening!? It was literally a dozen instances of cgminer stopped.. all in the same directory.. which is in the exceptions!! ahhh...

I had the problem from Day One.
The reason you should update is you can suspend the GPU in the BOINC Client, the version you have you cannot.
One item is you can keep Bitcoin Utopia Task in Memory while you suspend Bitcoin Utopia Project so that you can Power Down the R-Box and then Power back up and then resume Bitcoin Utopia Project and the task will complete, you cannot do this it in the older client software. Remember to also the BOINC Client to leave application in memory while suspended.
You will find this under Disk and memory usage in advance view - view - computing preferences...

I had the virus issue from day one and I thought that you were the one who told us about it.
But that was the only way to run cgminer.exe
Both Folders need to be allowed to run cgminer.exe or not to allow your virus software from scanning.

I do have all the folders marked as ignore, and even went so far to have avg temporarily disabled.. noticed it wasn't processing again, AVG red flagged cgminer DESPITE BEING DISABLED!! I don't know what's going on anymore... I'm just uninstalling it... AVG used to be the one that never had problems, now it's every day..

I think i'll switch to bitdefender or something (I despise mcafee with a passion), if we're talking paid-for antivirus/firewalls I usually go with zonelabs, but for freebies AVG usually does the trick.. it's an old xp machine with 1GB of memory and a GTX 760 SC chugging away .. Although that's still not as funny as my micro-ATX Athlon 64 5000+ setup with a 650 ti on it.. (that little puppy has earned 26 million points)  but for a few days I'm gonna test my p2pools I'm setting up -> (Link deleted/No longer good) Gotta revive some of these dead alt-coins..

I like spybot, but not enough to pay for their advanced features.. everything gets too intrusive on your system resources and page loads and downloads drop in speed.. Especially when your system is already maxed doing boinc  lol.. But if it's a portable device going onto unprotected networks.. load that up!!! load everything up I'm gonna give 360 security a try ( http://www.360totalsecurity.com/en/) and it's all free supposedly.. There's also one that free antivirus only. **Update: I like the 360 total security, just make sure you don't let it remove boinc or Efmer boinc tasks/temp control from startup.. it doesn't know what they are, and man are they system hogs
