I read books 1-4 as a teenager and loved the story. 5-7 came out much later (and in quick succession) and really kind of shifted it to a pretty trippy place. Still a favorite series of mine though.

The hypocrisy of films like this while the people behind them and on screen screech their lungs out in an attempt to deny other's their constitutionally protected civil rights is rich.
