Things I will say.. it has three 8pin power, a 3 slot cooler, massive heat pipes, thermal sensors on the pcb (lol, people had to know other manufacturers would jump on board that train), and it's flat out a beast card... it touches 2100mhz, but as Tiny Tom Logan points out.. even this card can't maintain it. If people really, truly, still believe that a LN2 based card is going to do better.. this should seriously be your wake up call. This screaming, "but the msi lightning has a higher stock clock..."... no.. it has a higher guaranteed on base clocks.. gpu boost 3.0 has a higher clock, and this ones factory clocks are overridden by gpu boost 3.0, and still lower than many other cards.

Please, start listening and stop believing that spending so much extra money is going to cause magic to happen. It simply won't.

P.s. the kingpin will hit the same limits, has less power, and a smaller cooler meaning it will get hotter, limiting everything even more, until the hydrocopper version comes out. Believe what you want, but facts are facts.

Huh... they implemented the little "dimples" or spikes on the base plate. I was expecting it on the 1080ti SC2 after EVGA introduced it with the remodeled Hybrid kits last year.

But since they don't have an actual base plate anymore, and instead an actual heatsink block... I guess it works.

I was surprised to see those as well. I know one or two companies had something like that before, but I can remember who. I think Galax had something sort of like it.

P.s. the RGB on the back of that card is absolutely stunning.
