I purchased an EVGA GTX 780 with a 3-year warranty in March of 2014, and in January of 2016 the card failed, so I went through the RMA process (which was very smooth!). I was mailed a GTX 970 in return. Over the past few months I have been experiencing power errors and I believe the source is the 970.

Did I get a new three-year warranty when the 970 was shipped to me, or is it the same warranty from the 780? I was hoping to be able to RMA the 970.

The original warranty stays in place with the new card received, so your original March 2014 warranty is still in place, even with the 970.

Hello RBrown129, and welcome to the forums! Unfortunately Scarlet-Tech is correct; the warranty is based on the original card's warranty, and does not reset when the card is replaced.
