EVGA X79 Dark fan connector

Would like to ask if it's still possible to solder on a fan connector to the pins near the I/O ports. It seems to be meant for a fan connector but got removed for the EVGA Dark shielding.

    I would ask that Question here as well.
    I saw this today on mine, but found no setting in the Bios for that Fan Header.

    Evga support said it's not a fan connector, weird since it looks like one

    That is correct, I remember a thread about.
    It is used my EVGA Tech's from what I remember.

    my x56 classy has a header somewhat like that, its only used by evga
