Okay so kind of a rant and a question.

You guys have fan control software for The new Case, you have fan control software for the New AIO, yet there is still no fan control software for Motherboards? How do you think this is even remotely okay? The motherboards should have been the first thing to have fan control software.

I am right now at a turning point. My new build needs fan control and LED control (By RPM is fine, just dimming). So now do I buy an AQ6 for 160 or a the Asus board that has all those things already. I like my Micro 2, however there is some issues, and this is a major one. Its been years and everyone else has fan control, and yet EVGA still does not.

So my question is, is fan control, software coming soon? Or never? And will X99 get it?

And I know there is speedfan, the issue is speed fan is wonky, Speed fan doesnt work with EVGA tuning (IE you cannot running EVGA Tuning without forcibly closing in Task Manager all speed fan services.)
Speed fan is simply bad, its outdated and under performing software these days.

You make a valid point but I will say, if you're looking to control a custom water loop, I'd heavily advise on the AQ6 as I have one myself.  If this is for a air rig, try grabbing one of their fan hubs and possibly be able to use a 3rd party software to control your fans via MB header.

Also, if you're on a budget, you could grab a screenless AQ called the Aquaero 6 LT for about $100 iirc.

Desktop Control, yes it can be controlled by temp, I think, only by CPU temp (I think). Which I dont want and the ability to tell the system to ramp up the fans when I know I will need them is better than waiting for the water to equalize. (Oh I want to control by water temp).

Do not have budget, no place for the screen after thinking about it later. Honestly, no place for the AQ at all, even the LT. On top of that I really have no need for that AQ, the AQ is great and does a lot, I will use none of that and feel bad.

The build is in a Hex Gear r40, to say that space is limited is an understatement lol. There is no drive bays, there is no really space from my mind right now where I can fit an AQ even the LT. If I do manage to cram it in, I literately will use 5 fans (controlled as 1), and a few temp sensors. I do not have room for Flow Sensors or any of the other cool AQ stuff.

I like AQs and for my bench build I plan on using 2 or 3, to control everything. however on this, its a tough sell.

EDIT: I found a place I can put an LT, however its going to take some serious cable management and Angled Cables (Back of the mobo tray, to the right of the Cable cut outs and left of the HDD plate). Again I'm really not sure though, its going to come down to what else it can do for me, it would help of AQ had a trial of the software as I refuse to run both bloated AQ Suite and Aida, and I know the added that functionality, but how is it?

Also since your here and have it, does it have the ability to override the temp controls? Like a Manual setting or profiles where I can full ramp the fans, easily? Also the Darkside Leds (RPM fan control). The Aquasuite monitoring, have a second screen option like Aida (vision screens too small lol), Corsair Power Supply sensors read by Aquasuite? They are by HWMon, and Aida, but again I dont want a bunch of stuff running.

    • Aqua Computer Hardware Monitor: Integrated hardware monitor, no third-party software required

It now comes with monitoring software integrated with Aquasuite.

Yes, you do want to control fan or pump curves through either water temps or delta temps since its a gradual increase and decrease, otherwise going with say the CPU/GPU temps, it will be very erratic and an annoyance from the aggressiveness of those temps.  I personally use a water temp sensor coming out of the radiator to control all my curves.  No issues here.

Hands down the best controller out there and so much more you can do with it.
