My temps seems very high in Overwatch. I have everything pegged to max in video settings and every time I start the game I can hear my fans spin up loud. My temps hover around 67 to 70c in the game and in menus. Is that normal for the 1080 in Overwatch? Does anyone elses card get hot in that game? Again I have every setting running full tilt. Thanks :)

These are perfectly normal temps. I've found that Overwatch does tend to run the gpu a bit hotter than many other games. 67-70 is about exactly the same temps I get in Overwatch with my 1080 ftw as well. The default temp limit for these cards are in the low 80's, at which point it will throttle itself more aggressively to keep from going above that temp. So unless you start getting close to that temp, I wouldn't worry about it. If the fan noise is bothering you, you can customize your fan curve using Afterburner or Precision to not ramp up as aggressively as temps increase. Though keep in mind this will make your temps higher as a result. The opposite is true as well; you could make your fan curve more aggressive to try to keep temps lower. As always though, the law of diminishing returns applies here.

Which model of 1080 do you have, Founders Ed.? I just checked my FTW 1080, and it runs very cool with a 50% fan profile and doesn't seem stressed at all on Overwatch (temps were in the low 60's (C), seemed to be an average of 63C). But I do have very good case air flow. Overwatch really isn't a very GPU intensive game, even at max settings. Not sure why your card is heating up during it.

Hi- I have a EVGA GTX 1080 SC Im running the game on Ultra 1440p 144hz,
I tend to hit 140 fps, most of the time- however, the temperatures are always in the range of 67-70. I dont know if this how good is this, is this safe for the card? Are you guys overclocking your card (I havnt had the time to test it, so Im running on dafault clock at the moment) Are these temperatures ok? Have you find a way to reduce the temps?

Your temps are perfectly fine. Many users overclock, and just use a more aggressive fan speed to keep temps in check. Your clock speeds will adjust as the card gets warmer, that is perfectly normal. Hybrid kits and full watercooling also help to reduce temps.

What other games do you play, does the fan spin up like that in them? If you really want to test your card run Fallout 4 at max Looks beutiful on my 1070 and the fans still do not get very loud on my EVGA fixed ACX 3.0
