So, I have a EVGA GTX 980ti SC+ paired with a core i7 4790k (CPU is liquid cooled) in a very well ventilated case. However I'm overclocking the card + 1.187mV, +120 GPU clock offset, +450 Memory clock offset. The card performs pretty well in my opinion. I'm playing the Witcher 3 on ultra settings at 1440, with hairworks, motion blur, etc. all on and pulling around mid low 70s to upper 70s, temperature wise. I need to put this bad body in a liquid cooler, an AIO cooler. I would like my temps to be in the 50s-60s while having the same overclock. Any suggestions guys? Thanks.

Mid 50C is possible with a H55 and a Kraken G10 bracket. My 980 Ti G1 Gaming worked just fine with it, and before I RMAd it for bad coil whine it hit 55C at most with a single fan (100% fan, fan as intake). Later I used a Kraken X41 with the same Kraken G10 bracket on a 980 Ti Classified and it hit 45C at most (dual noiseblocker fans, kinda pricey upgrade tbh) - and after stepping that up, I used it on a 1080 ACX 3.0 which hovers around 39C at most.

TLDR - a cheap Corsair H55 will keep your 980 Ti card in the mid 50s.

So I found a great video of a guy on youtube doing this but he's doing it on a classified version of the gtx980ti.
I understanding on the process of taking apart the card, the parts needed now but what about the pump control and the fan controls. The fan to cool down the VRM modules and the other fan/pump, how will they be control, if I were to do this.

If you use the Kraken G10 bracket you'll need to hook up the pump and fans to your motherboard or to a fan controller - they can be controlled from there. A fan controller can be a separate controller, or it can be the AIO pump itself (if it has the option) and use the AIO pumps software to control the fanspeed (if the AIO supports that).

Faster water flow does not always mean better temperatures so if your pump is controllable you should test different pump speeds and how it affects temperature under load.
