Precision XOC Software Necessary For GTX 1060 SSC?

Hello,
 
I recently bought an EVGA GTX 1060 SSC GPU and have a couple questions.
 
If I do not plan to overclock this GPU anytime soon, would installing this software still provide any enhancements to my GPU? I have never owned an EVGA GPU or used this software, and was wondering if I should install it or not. Please give me some good reasons why I should/shouldn't install it. I am unsure what I should do.

    Definitely install the Nvidia drivers as they are necessary for the card to function properly.
     
    As for EVGA software, Precision X OC will offer other features unrelated to overclocking like on screen display stats, graphics card fan control, system monitoring, etc.

    The Precision X OC does not need to be installed and in fact if you are not planning on OCing then you do not need the software. You can get all those other features mentioned through other more stable software. I personally recommend the MSI Afterburner software if and when you do plan to OC as the Precision X software is well known for bugs and other issues. FYI, the MSI Afterburner will work with any nvidia card.
