I'm not a big fan of this 0% fan until a certain temperature feature, purely because games like rocket league is hitting 50/55c and it shouldn't be the case, it should be running much cooler. Would like to keep my gpu as cool as possible.

    Hello!

The way I have my 1080 Classified set up is 0% fan until 45C. This ensures silent operation when web browsing etc. At 45C fans turn on to 45% then 50% at 50C- 60% at 60C - 70% at 70C etc. Card never goes above 65C gaming something like BF1 or GTAV with case fans at only 40%. Silent and smooth :D I only have high fan speeds when benchmarking.

In my experience the fans in your "system" that will go "bad" first and start making "noise" are your graphics card fans, so letting them work as little as possible is my suggestion.

perfect thanks for the info guys. I have it 20% idle then once it hits 30c it's 24%, 35c 27%, 40c 30%, 45c 34%, 50c 37%, 55c 40%, 60c %45. never seen it go above 45c with a 30% fan speed. The cooling is insane, I wish they will do away with this 0% fan because having a built in fan speed on idle ect helps a hell of a lot with temps. I thought evga would have just done away with this 0% fan feature due to a lot of people complaining about idle temps and load temps.

My 1070 was hitting 72c in demanding games now it doesn't go over 45c as mention massive difference.

It's there because people were complaining about fan noise hurting their sensitive ears in their safe place............................

seems a bit ott people complaining about fan noise tbh, I had the 780 sc and it ran quiet, even these 1070 fans at 50% are barely audio able, quietest card I have ever owned. Having audio able fan noise is better than having 0% fan speed and your gpu heating up in the least demanding games. At the end of the day heat is the death of components so I like everything to be as cool as possible on load.
