Hi guys!
so I have a issues with my gtx 1080 ftw, when windows boot or bios screen sometimes I have no video signal `black screen`.
Only video sinal when windows Startup. I've already tried change cable HDMI, DISPLAYPORT, MONITOR, MOTHERBOARD. but the issue persist.
someone has an idea it?

Hello,
sorry for any issues you have been dealing with.
You do not have a display signal when the bios is posting but when windows starts to load and go to desktop you get a display from the card? Does the display go blank after entering windows or is it functioning properly?

You do not have a display signal when the bios is posting but when windows starts to load and go to desktop you get a display from the card? Does the display go blank after entering windows or is it functioning properly?
In windows the VGA signal is normal no blank screen. Issue persist when windows startup and boot.

Hi, Here is an answer from Tom's hardware. Same problem as yours. This is the solution... Does your system include onboard video from the motherboard? You may need to disable the onboard first in the bios. Usually its something like PCI INIT DISPLAY and it will either read Automatic or PCI or PCIE, or Internal, or External. You would want to specify PCIe or External. I think whats happening is that the PC thinks its outputting on one video head, and then windows loads and takes over, and the driver for your card takes over the primary display Try this out... Worth a shot :)

Do you have multiple display hooked to that card. I had this issue when my monitor was not connect to the right dp port. The priority was on the hmdi port which was my tv.
So I had no image on my monitor during boot. Once in windows it switched to my monitor.
Try a different dp port on the card.

I already tried that , I changed my port for HDMI , DISPLAYPORT . but not resolved. strange that in games and windows vga is perfectly normal. EVGATech_MDecker

I entered the EVGA site , looking if he had any more updated bios to vga but not found . I think and it is a new vga does not exist new bios version.
Any more suggestion?

I had this problem as well. Try booting into safe mode and go to the device manager. Find your display adapter and right click on it. Go to properties to see if it says that the registry information for the device is incomplete or corrupt. If it does, get out of properties and right click again on the 1080 device and choose uninstall. Once it is uninstalled in the device manager, scan for hardware changes. The 1080 should appear again under display adapters. Exit the device manager and reboot. If the situation is like mine, you should now be able to get into Windows. It worked for me. Maybe it will work for you, if you haven't tried it yet.
