Hey guys so I have a question as this has no became a pattern. When I first got this micro 2, I had 2 290xs that would refuse to give me a screen. After a ton of trouble shooting I found out this was due to them running Asus Bios on 1 switch and PT1 on the other. I had the cards working on 3 different boards however on this one they wouldn't. I flashed them back to stock and all was well.

Fast foward to today I replaced those 290s with a 980ti, and I have just had the same thing happen.....

I tried both the 425w bioses, based on EVGA SC Reference, my card is however a SC ACX2.0. I have not yet tried one based on the ACX and the numbers are different. The bios revision shows for the one flashed as 32, where this one is 36 that is the only difference in numbers.

I will try to find a SC+ bios in the meantime am I wasting my time? Is there something about EVGA boards that refuse to let you use custom bios, even though the cards on another board work just fine?

Did you first install the Cards with the Stock Bios and get them working or did you update the Bios in another computer then install them in the X99 Micro 2?
    Sounds like a bad Bios.

For the 980ti, I did the bios on this board, for the 290s I made that on another PC.

I do not now off the bat its a SC, the ACX 2.0 version.

Anyway sorry for the late reply had a hectic few days. Anyway I figured it out, the bios for my SC is newer than the others, it is also smaller. I had to dump and mod my bios then use that.

All is working now, just had to make the bios for this card specifically. I have not encountered an issue like that in a long time. However I didn't notice the size before making this post.

However it if it helps anyone that will usually cause problems the bios need to be the same size or the card will reject it. Most SCs will work with the bios I was trying to use, however my newer card has a newer bios which is smaller.
