The promotions for free games are for people who buy them during the promotions. You mentioned you purchased the card before Christmas which is before the current promotion.

During a promotion, codes are handed out by the resellers like Newegg/Amazon/Greece store when cards are purchased. So any active promotion would of been given to you by the store in Greece (in theory). EVGA does hand out codes, but only to people who buy from the EVGA online store. So these promotions are only for people buying a card.
