Hey,

I have triple Titans running in 3 way SLI. I play Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. Recently I've been having lots of driver crashes while playing either game that read:

DirectX function "DxRenderer::present" failed with DX_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. the application should destroy and recreate the device. For help debugging the problem, call ID3D10Device::GetDeviceRemovedReason." GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN", Driver: 36451. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest driver. Also, make sure you have supported graphics card wit at least 512MB.

Now I know that the error says the driver is crashing but could this be caused by the Titan temporarily failing and the computer seeing it as being "physically removed?" I tried testing my theory and I have narrowed down 2 cards that don't give the error and 1 card that does give the error. I can use the two 'good' cards either alone or in 2 way SLI for hours with no errors. Butter smooth experience that I used to know. If I add the 3rd card into the mix (single, 2 way, 3 way) then errors galore. I have tried probably over 10 different driver versions with the same result.

I took off the back plate and verified that the card is out of warranty by 20 days :( Is this possibly not a hardware failure? Is there anything I can do to avoid throwing away a 1k graphics card?

Thanks,
