Hello guys, im having some troubles with my GTX 770. First the temps are perfect (73 C MAX, 40 C MIN). I want some help to check if im covering everything! First of all i have another two EVGA 770 (1x SC; 1x normal) available, and i can run some tests with that option. It all started on R6 with the texture flickering (little video sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsOFQ0QdgZA). What i did? Reinstalled the game, tried old drivers (BTW 359.06 was the best driver to play R6 for me). Used DDU two times. Today im in a fresh windows 8.1 PRO install and the problem persists. Not only that but i launched GTA V and on the prologue, when Michael starts driving, i have little flashes with pink textures and a crash. Any ideas?

Does only your game crash or the whole system? It sounds like your card is dying, had the same problems a few years ago.

Could you remove the cards and run them one at a time? Figure out which one is causing the issue?
It could be overheating in a small portion of the die. I know it sounds odd, but if a small section of the die dries out or isn't properly covered, it can still overheat with the temps reading low. You could try reapplying the thermal material and changing out the thermal pads on the VRAM to see if it helps. It would take you about 45 minutes for both cards to attempt it.
I would still run each card individually to see which one is causing the issue, and also, try a different SLI bridge.. it could be part of the issue as well.

Just the game. The driver or windows are not crashing.

I could do that. Im not running SLI! I just have another two 770 available for testing. I will check the thermal pads and return with the results.

GTA V is fixed! Rainbow Six is still a problem in my main 770 but not on my brother's one. I mean what the hell is going on here? EDIT: I think the card is dying. Tested it on another system (win 8.1 + i7 3770K + ROG MOBO) and the same problems with a little more intensity happened. My heart is broken =,(

dfi_playah Time to wake and bake maybe, http://lifehacker.com/5823227/save-dying-video-cards-with-a-quick-bake-in-the-oven I've resurrected a few failing components
Oh hell no. Never do that. You can always try a more professional work.
Could you give me an example please, maybe spend a couple hundred at a reflow station ?
Reflow station is about 20%-30% the price of a new card here. So yes. RMA is better anyway. Thats why we choose EVGA right?

If RMA as an option is always the best, how much warranty is left on the card ? I was thinking there was none left and not much recourse, the oven trick has worked more than half the time for me, but the hardware had no warranty.

EVGA is cheating on me. "Committed to the highest levels in customer satisfaction." is a joke. First, i dont have the invoice anymore (well i think i have but i need to travel to check). So let's do a Guest RMA right? WRONG. They told me thats this option is unavailable for Brazil. But man, in the warranty terms & conditions its there: "Para os usuários sem uma fatura válida, ou usuários que não tenham adquirido de um revendedor autorizado, a garantia tem início a partir da data em que o produto saiu do depósito da EVGA para entrega. " Which stands for: "For EVGA products not purchased from an EVGA authorized reseller or for owners that do not have a valid proof of purchase than the warranty is available for up to 3 years, which will not exceed the warranty length assigned to the part number, and the warranty will start from the EVGA shipping date." And they responded with: "I do apologize for the confusion. We did update our warranty terms a while ago but only for the Spanish version. I will forward this to our web admin to update the Portuguese version of our warranty terms. " This is wrong! They need to honour their own words!!! Anybody from EVGA to give me a public answer?

Again, it's not my fault, when i talked with the support THEY told me "check this link for terms & conditions". So the least you can do is honor the terms! Your own terms!!! If you change the police of RMA in the middle of the process, that's just unbelievable. I'm not a bad costumer and i just want my product working again. Jokes on me that had hope of solving this case before The Division launch... EDIT: I must say that yes, im pissed off. If my product die because of me then I'm guilty and I will live with that, but if EVGA's is changing polices just like this, just to refuse my card, how solid and trustworthy is their reputation?
