Looking to get a wireless network card for laptop. So far it looks like this is the one i want to get Intel AC 8260

http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-AC-8260NGW-867Mbps-802-11a-Bluetooth/dp/B016ZL17ZO

however i cant seem to find it sold anywhere except this 3rd party seller from amazon.

Has this model already been replaced or discontinued?

You might just want to get a USB Wi-Fi adapter instead. They're reasonably priced and the stock is plentiful. TP-Link, ASUS, etc. are a good choice.

The mini-PCIe cards are better, since they plug right inside the laptop, and there's no antenna or dongle to break. The only worry is that some manufacturers like HP or Compaq may block "unauthorised" cards at the BIOS level.
