Hello all. I need some help. I am building a new computer and procuring components for it. I have the Caselab STH10 case and plan to purchase EVGA's 1200w Platinum PSU and EVGA's black sleeved PSU cables. The MB will be an E-ATX model. I am concerned that the PSU cables won't be long enough to reach the CPU, GPU and 24 pin plugs. Does anyone know if the cables will be long enough with this case? If not, does EVGA sell extenders? Or will I have to go with custom cabling? I need know because I am ready to press the buy button. Thanks...Al

Ask Tech support how long the cables are. Evga's techs are very helpful Even by email

The powersupply page shows the length of the cables. Just read the specs. Also, it should show the length from the psu mounting position to the top of the case, and give you an idea of how far it is. *Edited in later to provide clear information and guidance* Since there are 4... yes 4, 2 on the bottom 2 on the top... mounting positions for PSU's in the STH10, I highly doubt that length will be any sort of issue. The only thing that changes from normal PSU mounting points is the 90 rotation of the PSU compared to standard bottom mounted positions. The e-ATX cases normally do not have any issue with cable length, so the mounting of this case shouldn't be much different. Evga does not sell extensions as far as I have seen. They do have the individually sleeved cables, which have their lengths in the specs. Extensions or custom length cables can be purchase from all over, depending on your location. Specs for the case are on the case page at the bottom: http://www.caselabs-store.com/magnum-sth10/ Notice that 246mm and 660mm is the same across all of the dimensions (except exterior). So, those can be rules out as depth and width. The height is the dimension in question. 443mm + 188mm would be the two you need, so 631mm of total height to the top of the chamber from the bottom PSU mounting position. Your 24 pin is going to be in the middle of the motherboard tray and slightly forward of the PSU, so the 600mm length is going to easily cover that length. The total height to the top of the motherboard chamber is 631mm from the bottom of the PSU mounting position, and the cables are 750mm long, so that is also covered by total length. Looking over all of the provided information from both manufacturers, all cables will fit just fine. This information is openly available for reference on their respective pages if you would like to verify or add modifications that could change things on the STH10. Just make sure you account for the changes if you are going to use them.

Thanks for the detailed information. I asked because when I checked out Jayztwoscents build (skunkworks), I noticed he had extensions on the psu cables and that confused me (or gave me cause for concern), so I wanted to make sure I would not have any issues. Again thanks.

He did that for the aesthetics, not the length.

Got it. I'm ok now. I ordered the EVGA PSU. Thanks

We are all going to want to see a picture when you get it all finished. Go to the modsrigs section of the forum and post a log if you don't mind.

No problem. I will post pictures when it's all done. It may take a little bit longer as I might wait to see how MSI's new MB (Godlike Carbon) turns out. But, that all depends on when MSI plans to release the new MB. If it's in the spring time, then I can't wait that long and will go with my original choice. I am trying to find some in depth reviews on the new MB now, but nothing but talk of specs pops up.
