Question as in topic. I own G1 Gold 750 watt psu and want to connect ssd drive and Fractal design R5 fan controller using one sata power cable.
Is it better to connect them together or using separate cables?

    SSDs don't use very much power, though fans can, I guess it depends on how many fans you are running through the fan controller. I haven't however tried such a thing before.

    R5 fan controller only supports 3x fans so you'll be fine.  I run a SSD, 2.5 HDD, and a fan controller with 6 fans off of one cable with no issues.

    Thanks for reply. I will only use 2 fans which came with the case. I still have one more spare sata power slot on psu. Only wanted to make build cleaner with reduced number of cables.
    I have another question. If there are 3 plugs/sockets on each sata power cable, Does it matter which one I will use for single ssd drive? Should it be first in a row or last one?

    SSD's typically are between 0.3-1.25 watts and case fans will range somewhere around 0.6-7.0 watts so you will be more than fine.

    Nope... shouldn't really matter at all..I just use the first one though if the cable will reach.
