I'm having a kind of weird issue.  My computer was working fine until I did a proper shut down and when I went to start it again, nothing happened when the power button was pressed.  The power button works after I hit the switch on the PSU or I unplug it and plug it back in.  The power button also works for shutting down when held.  Is this an issue with the PSU?

After unplugging the power cable from the PSU, I was able to start and shut down a few times before the power button wouldn't boot it again and I was back to the beginning.  I set the bios to default settings if that matters.

I got it to do 5 shut downs and boots at the end of the night after updating to the latest bios and it booted fine twice this morning so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works now.

Edit: I went into the bios to set it back to XMP, hit save and exit, and it shut off and the power button wouldn't bring it back on again.

That power supply comes with a 24-pin tester included with the rest of the accessories. Disconnect all the modular cables except for the 24-pin cable and plug in the tester. This will verify if the power supply is completely dead.

Note: make sure the PSU is plugged to the wall, the power switch is on and eco mode is off.

Thank you.  I just pulled out the PSU and tried it on different outlets multiple times and the PSU would not turn on.  After reinstalling it, the computer did come on as usual though.  Is this indication that the PSU needs to be replaced?  Should I stop using this PSU to prevent damage to other components?  I'm disappointed that the 850 GS failed, but I know it happens.  Perhaps I should have got the G2.

Edit:  I just spoke with support on the phone and they are sending me a new unit.
