I've just gotten my new EVGA GTX 970 SC to replace my aging GTS 450. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit and after the starting windows screen I get no display out of any of the ports on the graphics card. I am only able to test the HDMI port and the DVI-I converted to VGA for an older monitor. Both monitors have the same problem. My monitor displays no signal and the computer continues to boot. I can access my computer via remoting software. I know this was issue a while ago but I haven't found anything that fixes my problem. Ive tried Nvidia's 344.80 hot fix and I'm also using Nvidia's latest driver which are 347.09. I cant find anything that will get the card to work during windows. Safe Mode works just fine. Any Suggestions?

Here are my system specs if need be:
AMD Phenom II X4 840 (3.2Ghz)
AsRock M3A UCC
8GB Corsair Vengeance
EVGA GTX 970 SC (My old cad was a KFA2 GTS 450 1GB)
500W Cooler Master Power Supply (I don't know its exact name but I've triple checked to make sure its compatible with the card)

Hi, I have yet to fix it. I worked out that my motherboard BIOS needs updating but as it is updated as much as it can be, I can't get it to work meaning it's not compatible with the motherboard. If you find a way to fix it let me know. Hope you find a solution :)

Same problem here. I had 2x560 in sli working perfectly beforehand.

Usually when I had them in the Windows logo would do the swirling and come together right before the desktop would pop up. But now with the 970 in there's a loading bar that goes across before the screen goes black and the desktop sounds. I don't know if that means the mono isn't reading the card correctly.

In safe mode I can get display and the 970 is recognized in device manager.

    Hi, mogumaster,

Your problem sounds exactly the same as mine. I tried everything and managed to work out it was a motherboard incompatibility issue (well it was for me anyway). I replaced my older motherboard with a newer one and it works fine. (Incase it helps, I went from a asrock m3a ucc to a gigabyte 78MLT.) That fixed it for me.

Maybe a BIOS update may fix it.

Good luck with solving the problem, I hope I've helped you. Hopefully you can get your 970 chugging along soon :)

I'll try my 970 in a couple different rigs. My friend has a 960 working with an older setup in a PCI-E 1.0 slot. I do have PCI-E 2.0 on my gigabyta XPUD-3P motherboard.

Another detail is when I have no video drivers installed I can actually load to the Windows desktop. I have tried 5 different versions of drivers from evga.

Same as me but I'm able to use the HDMI port and the VGA Adapter conected to the DVI port. I just can't get any image after windows boot up when using DVI cable conected to the DVI ports...
