Finally gave in and got 2 of these since summer time is around the corner and still no AIO ACX cooler so i figured i give these a shot. I know they are not going to make a huge difference.
 
Running in SLI i have decent spacing and very good airflow and ambient s with max temp 77/74 @ 1500Mhz core 8000 VRAM 1.2v
Temps didn't change on GPUs but i think these backplates have neg effect on VRM/VRAM these back plates get extremely hot to the touch between the heat radiating of the plate plus and the heat trapped between the back plate and PCB not dissipating fast enough its causing heat issues beyond the GPU with the ACX cooler
 
I was playing bf4 for almost an hour and stated getting black polygons due to VRAM overheating this was never a problem before and has to be due to the heat dissipation with the back plates on.
 
I took them off and all is good again.
 
Also these only came with thermal for GPU do you think sticking thermal pads on VRAM would help they do look so much better with backplates.
