Sounds like your VGA card is not getting enough power. Make sure it has a good external power dongle (if needed) and try a different slot if you have good power.

That is me in the picture, anyone else ever pet a live Lion?

400 Watt Power Supply is required for the PSU, How old is it?
A computer battery cost less than $3. to replace and can be found anywhere.
Do you have a test GPU that you could install and test with.
Your best Slot to use is the one next to the CPU as you have it now.
Check to make sure that your PCI-E Switches are all in the On Position *Enabled that is.
They should all be set to the Left, the PCI-E Switches are next to the RED SATA Port.

Additional power for PCI-E a 4-Pin Molex connector at the bottom left on your Motherboard can be used but for one GPU it is not needed. Also with only a 400 watt PSU I would think it would be useless to use with your GPU.

Re-check your Zalman ZM400-LE I only provide 300 Watts and 400 Watts total, so it may be to small for your Motherboard CPU and GPU Combo. Your CPU alone needs 130 Watts
