I think I still have some head room for overclock but since temps are only 57°C and only @ 62% fan speed, with this OC on GPU I reached 13000 on 3D Mark Fire Strike which was above the 9xxx score for a high end build gaming computer build.

I saw one guy on the top 100 list with the same 4790K CPU but running at Stock clock 4.0GHz but his GPU which was also the same as mine was OC AT @ 2088 if I remember correctly.

I think I need to figure out how to supply more than the 87mV that PrecisionX 16 will allow since any higher OC and it hangs which I'm guessing it's due to lack of voltage not a heat issue.

IT is not letting me post Links!

1.) Am I on the right track?

The top scores are cute because you will never get them and I doubt they got really got them some of the time. Just because someone in your class held their breath for three minutes doesn't mean you should be able to.

Do have a link to your scores? Or Score ID?
Yes you are on the right track.
Our Builds have nothing to do with how long you can hold your breath so bsmegreg statement has no merit.

    My Scores
    GTX 980 Four Cards
    3DMark Fire Strike:  31,771 3DMark 11:  40,586 In all 17 Hall of Fame Tests

    3DMark Fire Strike:  13,076 3DMark 11:  17,355

Sorry bsmegreg I do not have a 970 so I cannot compare my scores to yours.
I worked hard at my Scores and I do not think they are cute but cool.
I am still waiting for you to add some images to your MODS RIGS Page so I can give you a +1 even if you can't hold your breath.

    sixshooter_45,
Post your Score ID like http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4554549 all I need is the last part /fs/4554549
and I will create some links for you and some compare links as well.
Physics Score 12107 plays a big part in the final score so users who are overclocking their CPU have a higher Physics Score and combined gives a higher overall score.

You will find the Physics Score under Show Result Details then Detailed scores
You can see if nvidiaInspector can give you higher volts. I really have not looked at the Overclocking side of nvidiaInspector.
I was using it to set my fans.

I was making a comparison showing how the best scores are not what you should compair yours to. About the mod pictures, I did add one and I even double checked to make sure it was there. I'm trying to say that you have to work hard to get those scores like you said but it gets to a point where it's impratical to try to match another persons score. You can go on and see all these scores and look at yours and see how bad yours is but its not bad, it's just normal. I get 10,000 when other people with my CPU can do so much better and I could look at that and say 'woah, my PC sucks' or I could scroll down and see it's normal.

Sorry if I offended you :/

    bsmegreg,
They do have a way to compare but only for paid users.
On the http://www.3dmark.com/search page you can select the CPU and GPU to view.

    http://www.3dmark.com/search#/?mode=advanced&url=/proxycon/ajax/search/cpugpu/fs/P/1842/983/500000?minScore=10000&cpuName=Intel Core i7-5960X&gpuName=NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980

This way you can compare your CPU and GPU to others.
I know that when you select numbers of GPUs to 1 card it errors out.

BTW, I still only see one image http://www.modsrigs.com/detail.aspx?buildid=34468
    But I gave you a +1 today.

How meany do you think I should have? I thought the inside was an okay image to show the rig was legit. Also, I suppose I should update the photo because I finally got all 4 of the same ram modules.

A Side View without the Cover *Powered On is nice
A zoomed in Side View without the Cover *This is what you have.
A Front View *Powered On is nice
A Right Side View showing your Cable management, but only if you want to and have it all tidy.

It really is up to you how much you want to show off your Rig.
You only need one photo to qualify for the $1000 Prize.

When you look at Scores you need to look at two areas.
    CPU Overclocking and GPU Overclocking
I post Stock Clocks on both CPU and GPU.
I will Overclock the CPU leaving the GPU Stock and Also Leave the CPU Stock and only Overclock the GPU.
I have over a 1000 Scores posted now, you need to have a paid license to post as many times as you want.

BTW, I like the Red & Blue Memory Sticks you have.

    OK Back on Subject Now.

You need like 11 or 12 posts to do links. This is a built in forums feature so no one just joins to spam links to ads, etc. Be patient, and by all means keep calm. Move that hammer at least 20 feet away from your computer.

Titan X appears to be using pretty slow silicon meaning it runs into a clock limit before it runs into a voltage / heat limit.  I tried 1.28V firmware and my overclock didn't improve at all. (EDIT: saw that you have a 980 so nvm).

The top 10 scores are almost always going to be guys running LN2.  Kinda sucks because I'd like to compete against scores that are reproducible 24/7.

I think this card is more hindered by it's TDP than anything else. I have yet to see a single artifact when OCing, but it will crash if it keeps going over the power limit. I have a feeling a 980 Ti Classified / HOF/ Etc. will dominate if given more TDP headroom.

And I completely agree with you about the top 10. I think it would be cool if there were sub divisions for Air / Water / Exotic cooling.

You need like 11 or 12 posts to do links. This is a built in forums feature so no one just joins to spam links to ads, etc. Be patient, and by all means keep calm. Move that hammer at least 20 feet away from your computer.

LOL, thnaks for the info. It was late and I thought that might be the issue whilst falling asleep!

Here they are: Nope 13 Posts and still won't let me post links, LOL!

    Under HTML I see this:
<p>Here they are: Nope 13 Posts and still won't let me post links, LOL!</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>&nbsp;</p>
Is that normal? the four lines of "<p>&nbsp;</p>" I'm assuming it HTML source code for line spacing but not really sure as I only know basic programming and some DOS language.

bsmegreg The top scores are cute because you will never get them and I doubt they got really got them some of the time. Just because someone in your class held their breath for three minutes doesn't mean you should be able to.

Do have a link to your scores? Or Score ID?
Yes you are on the right track.
Our Builds have nothing to do with how long you can hold your breath so statement has no merit.

    My Scores
    GTX 980 Four Cards
    3DMark Fire Strike:   3DMark 11:   In all 17  Tests

    GTX 980 One Card
    3DMark Fire Strike:   3DMark 11:

Sorry I do not have a 970 so I cannot compare my scores to yours.
I worked hard at my Scores and I do not think they are cute but cool.
I am still waiting for you to add some images to your MODS RIGS Page so I can give you a +1 even if you can't hold your breath.

Thanks for the input, My score is close to yours with one card, so I guess I doing good. And bsmegreg, I've got no Idea what the heck you're talking about but I have proof of all my OC'g and scores but  This website won't let me POST LINKs!!!!!!!

Sorry I did not mean to upset you.
/fs/4554549 is not a link only your Score ID I was going to create the links for you.
I did push mine to 13,268 13388 today
    Working on 3dMarks 11 now.

Naw, not upset was just tired of trying to post links for an hour, LOL! Nice scores, did you up your Voltage to get that and if so, how much OC voltage?
