Hi all,
I had a GT630 card in my system.  Upgraded to the GTX 970 and it says my software is up to date.  Problem is no recognition of my CPU for optimizing games.   In the "My Rig" it says I have an i7 but in the games section it says "does not meet minumum requirements"
I have:
i7-2700 at 3.5 GHz
16 gigs of Ram
GTX 970 card
2 SSD's @ 250 gigs

I see I might have to uninstall the Nvidia software and reinstall but wanted to ask first if there is an easier way.
Thanks

Was this a dell or a custom built pc?

I ask as the mobo might need to have a bios update.

I had this issue with my old i7 870. Is it an oem/retail cpu or a ES/QS(engineering sample) cpu?

I have a Shuttle XPC.   It is small form but fits all the things I need.  I did update the BIOS to the most new version before adding the GTX 970.   I also updated the CMOS.   I saw somewhere one might have to remove all the Nvidia and reload it to get this to work, just checking if others came across the same problem before I do that.  The CPU came from Amazon.

Ok, one has to delete all files of Nvidia.   I found a site on tomshare that spelt it out very well.  Now my system is running as desired.
