Hi guys. I love my rig but I have bought my EVGA GTX 970 SSC but the model 04G-P4-2975-KR is not longer available at the evga.com.
According evga a new model is available and mine was removed instead. "Changes in the components", says evga regarding the case. Somebody knows the real reasons to remove them and the details about this change?
I paid a lot of money for a "new" product but not longer available from the EVGA stock (??) and my videocard 04G-P4-2975-KR is, safely, less "qualified" than the new model. It is a fact because, otherwise it, 04G-P4-2975-KR model should be available now. That fact worries to me.
Everybody will say "go for a RMA" but I can't because no reason to do for the time being. I wish to know the details about the 04G-P4-2975-KR in order to find out what "really" I have.

Thanks!

The real reason it was removed was due to changes. Things change. Supply runs out. Marketing changes. Target audiences change. Price points change.

I have seen quite a few times where the better video card model is discontinued and a cheaper model is released to take its place which will allow for lower pricing and more profit. Don't immediately assume that your discontinued model is inferior or has an issue. Your discontinued card may have just been too good for EVGA to make a decent profit selling it.
