Hello I have 970 gtx sc and have about 2 1/2 weeks till my 90 days are up and wanting to upgrade.  Now there is a 970 ssc, 970 ftw or 980 gtx.  As I have 2 970 gtx sli.  Wanting to go 4k monitor soon.
so looking at the options the 970 ssc sli looks good.  But I don't really overclock anymore just game.  I have benq 144hz monitor and would go with a 4k montor with at least 144hz.  So anyone using a 970 sli with 4k monitor not happy?

Wish a 8 gig cards are out but they are not.  So playing fps games 4k which would be the best setup.

Thanks

In terms of comparing SSC to FTW. The SSC would be cheaper, should run a fair amount cooler, have lower stock clocks and much better overclocking capability (should you ever decide to do so). While the only advantage of the FTW is the higher clocks out of the box. You might consider waiting to step-up just in case the FTW+ is put up for sale sometime in that 2 1/2 weeks that you've got left. The FTW+ should have all of the advantages of the SSC, but higher stock clocks and maybe others.

Unfortunately, 4k isn't available in 144hz, so you would need to wait for those to even arrive to know what it would take to drive them.

The 980's in SLI, would give the better performance, and if you are stepping with SLI, (really difficult to understand if you are considering going to SLI or if you have SLI already) then you will get the best performance out of the 980 SLI setup.

If you are looking to save money, then go with the SLI 970SSC, as the FTW doesn't truly provide enough to justify the extra costs for what you want.

The FTW+ would be your best bet, as premise mentioned, if you can step up to that. It would be cost saving and provide enough stock overclock to make a worthwhile difference.
