Last year, Battlefield Hardline was announced and promptly  fired into beta—then almost as promptly delayed to this year. I had concerns about it: here's a cops and robbers version of Battlefield, but it still felt a bit like soldiers and soldiers and some cars. I'd expected something asymmetrical, something that played up the idea of a limited number of criminals taking on a larger police force. And that's not very Battlefield-ey, so I get why the two sides are symmetrical, but even so it was missing something to make it a crime flick and not a war flick. I don't know how much has been taken back to the drawing board, but we'll have another chance to see if and how Hardline has changed soon.

IMO they realized what a mistake they were making releasing a BF4 mod and charging full tilt boogie for it when they still had two remaining DLCs to be released in BF4.
 
I'm not confused this isn't about making a better game or listening to feedback. As time marches on it's inevitable they will make more money on it by pissing off their core gamers less than they would have with an earlier release. I doubt they've done much to the game and what you are hearing is the typical hype and **** we didn't here about last beta. It will still have issues like BF4 still has, same engine same BS. 
 
That said I enjoyed the 1st beta and if given the opportunity I'll enjoy the second as well but I will not pay $60 for a BF4 Mod. 20 bucks is the most I would go so let's hope they come to there senses sooner rather than later otherwise battlefield fans will be stuck with this for the next 2 years.
 
 

Every update it's something new last one screwed up mantel for me had to switch back to using DX11.2 but I play BF4 and little if anything else.

They are doing another beta release to test out a new game mode called Hotwire.
