1080 Hybrid kit - Onboard fan erratic and loud

At Idle the onboard fan is whisper quiet, but as soon as i turn on a game and put a slight load on the card, the onboard fan will spin up for a few seconds and be very loud, then go quiet, and then loud at different intervals. Even with Precision i have it set to auto fan control and it doesnt seem to help anything.

    Hey I don't know if we have the same issue but I installed the kit to my Palit GTX 1080 and have had issues with the internal fan as well. I have noticed the fan revs up and down at random times, especially if you game at 4K and demanding settings. It is really strange! If you look at your MSI Afterburner values for RPM, you can see the readings fluctuate a lot. 
     
    I hope EVGA can take note of this and at least provide an answer.
