Hey all,

I have a new rig and am testing it out. Some FPS, etc. give me motion sickness. Are there any racing or adventure games that are awesome from a graphic standpoint, but not quite as apt to bring on motion sickness. I can play Crysis, etc.     ......but not some of the indoor scenes.

Thanks!

Although most FPS tend to make me seasick, there is something about outdoor spaces that I can handle fairly well. It is the twisting and turning in tight areas that is the worst. So adventure/action/FPS games outdoors aren't too bad.

Try setting your FOV higher if you can.  That tends to help others (can't attest to it personally as I've never had that issue).

As for other games, GTA V is coming soon which will be third person or first person.  The AC series, Middle Earth, Skyrim...  Games like those can all be played third person and look pretty good.

Modded Skyrim, ArmA 3, which are great games in addition to being great eye candy.

Far Cry 3 and Bioshock Infinite? Although they are FPS's, 95% of those games takes place outdoors.
Or maybe Batman: Arkham City/Origins or Tomb Raider? All 3PS's, but outdoorsy.
Lastly, Trine and Trine II if you like action platformers. They're drop dead gorgeous, pretty demanding, but great games.

Was gonna say it sounds like an issue with FOV myself. At too small of a viewing angle the walls and such spinning at that high of a speed can cause motion sickness it people who are prone to it. Though not all 3d games allow changing the FOV either, or at least not in an easy way. I forget what the recommended setting is but I'm sure a quick google search can give you recommended settings for your resolution (as it can vary base on aspect ratio and even differ from person to person, so some testing may be needed.)

    Hands down.....modded Skyrim.
Beautiful, vast, mulitple climate changes.  Best open world game I've ever played.

Keep in mind this is with 37 carefully  selected graphical, environmental, sound and texture mods.
I know people can have 200+ mods, this to me is overkill.  With careful selection you can really knock it out of the park with half the mods.
