If you have decent FPS in other games then I would guess it's just the game mode or servers you're playing on.

H1Z1 is kind of like Minecraft in the sense that it can be modded to high heaven. The mods on servers, including King of the Hill can cause bad performance. You see this in ArmA, Minecraft, Garry's Mod, etc.
If you go on a single player and it's working good then it's a combination of the server and mods. That's basically what I mean.

h1z1 its not optimized and still in beta . I have never got constant fps in it maybe when the game is released and the video drivers recognize it as a game .

I think Glorious' intentions were to only find out if anyone else experienced horrible FPS in H1Z1, that's all. It doesn't look like he was looking for a resolution to fix the problem. I mean he is, but he's not looking for help on his GPU. His rig is a beast already, I doubt he's looking for help on it. H1Z1 alone is still in Beta, though, and will probably remain in Beta for ever, and then they will close it.

Yes my specs are highly over qualified for H1Z1 but it just runs terrible on my system. Huge fps spikes but ive seen it run on streams pretty smooth so im like ****. What a waste of 14 CAD. I can run other games like Witcher 3 and Gta V run flawlessly. Soon ill be upgrading to a 6700K platform, I hear it really is CPU hungry but my I5 should still handle it NP.

I hear ya! My 4790k used to bottleneck my single 970. Now with a 6700k, I rarely see the usage hit 80%. SLI helped too, both gpus are hitting high 90's% since I switched to Z170 platform.

I don't see how a 4790k would bottleneck a single 970, the single core performance between a 6700 and it are actually not huge. I think it is actually maybe 15% better which is really nothing on the grand scale of things. I want a 6700K for the hyper threading though, that was my mistake going I5. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/core_i7_6700k_processor_review_desktop_skylake,16.html Even a g3258 hardly bottlenecks games, unless of course they are known to be really cpu hungry. We're in a grand age for technology and things at this point arent getting much faster. I believe a 6700K is 30% faster than a 2600K and a 980X which is what 2010? still competes with top end CPUS from this generation.

Shrug...all I know is it was hitting 100% usage most of the time. Which resulted in frame drops. Switched platforms all good...

Some games are bottle necked by all CPU's just by design.

H1Z1 is not a demanding game, though. It's just very, very, badly optimized. They really should just call it quits, an let bygones be bygones, and just hand it over the actual companies who release AAA games. Just sell it already.
