Just setup my system and it seems the board only has one external usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 port. Am I missing something?

    See X99 Chipset Motherboards
Wish they had a visual guide
You have 6 USB 2.0 Ports on the rear I/O Panel and 4 USB 3.0 Ports from Part 1

On the Motherboard you have One USB 2.0 Header and One USB 3.0 Header. (Or Internal Ports) All of them are onboard Ports.

Shame. Coming from my dark to this I didn't expect less ports. I have to choose now between connecting my h80i to the motherboard or my front panel usb port

Connect the USB 3.0 Header to the Front Panel and the USB 2.0 Header to the H80i that is if you have a new Case that supports USB 3.0 on the front panel.

You still have 10 USB Ports on the rear!

Have to ask why did you update your X79 Dark so soon?

Got a great deal with newegg Bitcoin labor day discount and have a microcenter near by so the cost to upgrade was very minimal after selling the x79 parts. I know I can compromise with USB ports, but the competition has the added headers so I'd like evga to match them as far as enthusiast products, especially when the dark had it

For me as far as the number of headers on the MB one of each is fine.
I only use 2 USB items a KB and a Mouse, and for USB 3.0 is used for External Hard Drive.
If you look at this way you really only need ONE USB Port and connect it to a USB Hub with 8-12 Ports.
If you need more you can also use a PCIe USB with 4 or 6 Ports.
I thought that their are more then enough ports on current Motherboards. Really an overkill.
For Power the least devices on the computer the better.
I see users want to connect 10 or 20 USB Devices and 8 to 10 SATA Drives, they should look at getting a server motherboards.

But most of all review what you are going to buy before you buy it and you will not feel bad or think you got Ripped Off

It never helps to get a "deal" without reviewing everything prior. The internal headers were discussed in another thread the day of release as well.

I like EVGA as well. I am going to try out the Classified board, and hope for the best :-)

Let us know what you think of the rest of the functionality please.
