Hello, all. I need some help/expertise if you all could oblige me.
I recently bought a very nice machine from someone locally that has an EVGA GTX680 in it and I hooked it up via DisplayPort and an EVGA DisplayPort Hub to three Dell U2412M monitors that are mounted on my wall. The setup looks super clean and I am really happy, but the problem is that these monitors don't support audio through the DisplayPort, HDMI, or the DVI ports on them.
The onboard audio, while enabled in the Asus BIOS, seems to be non-functional when any graphic's card that can carry audio is plugged in. I have disabled "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" in Device Manager as well as uninstalling the generic "High Definition Audio Device" and then restarted. Upon restart, I then downloaded and installed the Realtek HD Audio driver package from Asus for my MB (P9X79). I installed that and restarted and everything was recognized in the Device Manager but still no audio.
I need some way of getting my audio that doesn't involve purchasing three new monitors that support audio through DisplayPort.
Thank you all in advance for anything you can suggest.
