Question about noise and size

Dearest EVGA enthusiasts,
 
I'm just wondering if the mouse makes any noise when buttons are clicked? I have a great little (cheap) logitech mouse which I just pack up and go everywhere but when using the laptop in bed, the mouse noise is frustrating and this would support my decision to get one - which is going to happen sooner or later.
 
I'm also curious to the physical size of the mouse; cable length, can anybody comment?

    The cable length is approximately 8 feet long, so 2.5 meters or so.  As for the audible clicks, I am linking a video below (and mention the length of the cable as unknown).  I set the camera about a foot away from the mouse pad, so it is slightly closer than I am sitting.
