Im installing my motherboard into my case and noticed that there are 2 of the normal sata cables( flat ones) and 2 round cable ones. What's the difference? And what should I be using ? I'm using a sata 3 6gb hdd.

The two round ones are 6G and the flat ones are 3G

Hey, I don't recall getting any round sata cables with my X79 Dark I put together this week.
I just used regular Sata cables, for my Samsung SSD's plugged into the two Intel 6G ports.
Is this an issue for me??

Look in the packages Don, they are in there.
They look a lot nicer and can be used on any sata drive.

Just went through my box and the leftover packages, do not see any sata cables.
In fact, had to use some of my own I already had, think I only got two with it - guess I could look in case and see what they look like, don't recall them being round though...

And I don't even remember it - yes, I am a moron! Well in all fairness to me, still running on very, very little sleep this week. Only thing about a new build and being on vacation, so exciting I can't hardly sleep lol. Thanks, I am good to go.
