Hey guys I was planning to buy the pre sleeved cables but they aren't the color I need so I want to sleeve my own.  On the VGA power cable is it okay to cut off the double wire part?  I'm wanting only a 8 pin to a 6+2 not an 8 Pin to dual 6 pin plus 2...

    Well, cutting them off is pretty much the equivalent of not using them.  I would just make sure the tips are properly sealed up after you cut them.
