I understand it's possible but slightly ungainly to manage. Why not just split time folding and crunching? Say 15 days of Folding, 15 days of Crunching like I'm planning? You could use the folding appliance from [H] to create two inexpensive USB drives with the OS and set one drive to a folder and the other to a crunching OS. Just a thought. That's what I'm tossing about in my head.

Thanks, My plan was to split my 4P if I can and move my 2P 32 cores over to Crunching.

I'm not sure why you would want to run 2 separate instances of FAH. You will get the same amount of work done either way, but the points will be much lower when you split into 2 due to the mathematics of the quick return bonus.

Splitting hairs now - but again, why? The same point I made applies whether you want to call it one or two instances of FAH as long as you are talking about running 2 clients. You will do the same, or slightly less, work, and get much lower points.

If your going by the PPD shown in v7 that is far from written in stone as right.

You don't really need to wait until they complete, just look at the frame times and project numbers and use the bonus calculator to get the PPD for each. Unless there is some scaling bug with the hardware or software, the total will be much lower than a single client.
