EVGA Z87 FTW - BIOS 1.05 Released

BIOS 1.05 Updates
  • Fix system hang on B2 error
  • Fix PCI-E LED error after S3 resume
  • Improve keyboard compatibility
 

Windows Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file below for your motherboard:
         141-HW-E877-KR - EVGA Z87 FTW
  • Close all open programs
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and run Windows_Update.bat
  • Press any key to continue
  • Click YES when the User Account Control message appears
  • Press Y in to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
  • After the flashing is finished, the system will automatically shut down after a key is pressed. Then power on again and go into BIOS to setup.
 
USB Flash/DOS Drive Installation
  • Create a bootable disk.
  • Extract the above .zip file to your bootable disk.
  • From a DOS prompt, run DOS_Update.bat
  • Press Y in to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
  • After the flashing is finished, shut the system down completely. Then power on again.

After flashing verify that the correct flash was applied by checking the version number on the lower right corner of the BIOS screen.

    error 55 when using 8gb ddr3 2933c12 1.65v avexir ram. it works at 1600 auto, but when i used on bios (.04) i could use xmp 1 at 2800mhz this bios wont allow me 2800mhz auto or xmp ??

    Jacob, would you recommend to update the bios even if i dont have problems anymore?

    error with the memory
    there are more smart system fan control
    error 55
    ereur version display bios, have seen a 0.05 instead of 1.05

    1. CPU FAN2 lost smart control....
    2. boot error:
    "S.M.A.R.T. Supported
    Using PCIE Gen 2
    Cant' find any device"
    3. BIOS version in BIOS is 0.05 instead of 1.05
