I recently purchased the Corsair AIR 540 Case for future water cooled system. Great case, only one problem... my optical drive doesn't open/close when it sits in the case's vertical Optical bay slots... lol.

Any recommendations for a vertical functioning optical drive??

That's unusual, most tray style optical drives should work in a vertical configuration. My recommendation would be to contact the manufacturer and try to get an RMA. If that doesn't work, pick from one of 100 other tray style Blu-Ray drives, nearly all of them should work.

This is the one I have, and I believe it has the "wings" that hold the disc in place in a vertical orientation. I'll double check tonight.

its so weird... when i lay the case sideways (optical drive horizontal) it opens and closes just fine. when i place the case in its correct orientation, (optcal drive vertical) its won't open...

Also, please attatch a link to your drive, i think you may have forgotten

    Oops, here you go:

Does your drive have the tabs on the tray? If it does, it means it should open vertically, and I'd try to RMA it first.
