From I have read in the PDF file for the GTX 770 graphics card it will run off of dual 6pin or a single 8pin. Since my psu has a 6+2pin connector would using that single cable be enough to power the card or not?

You should have two power connectors on that video board. One 6-pin and one 8-pin. Both are required to be connected to your PSU for operation.

Ah ok then. Just making sure before it arrives here and I jam it into my Alienware.

Just ignore the power adapter that comes with the 770 since your PSU already has the right connections. Good luck with your new 770!

Yea I am glad this psu has the mini dongle or whatever it's called built into the cable already. It's surprising really since most proprietary psus tend to be skimpy on those kinds of features. It'll make things easier for me.
