Yep. The writing was on the wall when Nvidia dropped tri and quad SLI. SLI is getting less support and priority. I mentioned the same thing earlier this year. Nvidia will kill off SLI with Volta. Nvidia knows the market best. SLI is not a big thing like some people think.

It does on mine. I have two gtx 980 Ti running in SLI most of the titles in that list show improvements on my game

I think most here are aware of SLI. I used it for a long time. It used to be very well supported. That support, in it's current implementation, is unfortunately declining. I think we're in a transition from DX 11 and prior with implicit mGPU to explicit mGPU with DX12. Instead of the driver developers having primary responsibility, it is going to be more in the hands of the game engine developer and game designers to implement and enable. We'll have to see how this all works out.
