I’m having a problem after flashing the latest bios 047.
After sleep or rebooting Event Viewer logs the following error:
Source HAL event id 12 “The platform firmware has corrupted memory across the previous system power transition.  Please check for updated firmware for your system.”
I did a bit of google-ing to try understand what and most importantly why this is happening and I got across to this page :
which pretty much says:
Cause:
This event is reported after detection of memory corruption by firmware after a power transition or sleep event.
Resolution:
Contact your hardware vendor to obtain the updated firmware and BIOS to address this issue.
To flash the bios I followed the guide at the end of the download page (to flash from usb using HP Format tool)
I then thought that perhaps something didn’t go well during the flash and decided to reflash. Unfortunately nothing changed the error is still present.
The board itself during post does not produce any error codes and boots up normally.
If someone could point me in some sort of direction would be great
Thank you
Ray
