The Titans true potential is realized - more than 6GB of VRAM is used in Crysis 3 with everything maxed out including 8x MSAA! Never tried MSAA until now (was playing with SMAA) but holy smokes, 6109MB of VRAM used -- absolutely nuts! Pic:

Judging by the font size I'd agree, it's 3 30" monitors.

Well, I wouldn't exactly say more than 6GB VRAM is needed. 8x MSAA isn't useful on multi-monitor setups, especially 3x 30". FXAA/SMAA are better than MSAA and take a tiny amount of VRAM.

Oh my lord, maxed already, haha. CryENGINE3 has always been good at scaling to make use of available VRAM but I never expected to see a full 6GB usage.

Actually, the GPUs don't need any more horsepower. They are running at 50% average. The low FPS is due solely to lack of VRAM.

I somewhat doubt that considering I've seen stats that display similar usage without the VRAM being used to anything near maximum extent. This could be a CPU bottleneck/limitation (common big help for Crysis 3 was to manually set the HPET timer to 0.5ms as it slipped Crytek's mind seemingly to try and maximize performance and was left at a default 10ms similarly to in Windows) or a result of the drivers and their scaling for two examples. Curious if we could see the VRAM usage with SMAA, Baasha?

All in good fun; but you guys shouldn't seek out ways of maxing out your hardware now when there won't be much room left for future games that will use more resources. Titan is a special circumstance and it is unlikely nVidia will succeed Titan's performance too soon with a 700-series version. You guys are stuck with the 6GB limit for a long time; it is probably best not to push making your Titans impotent too early to the point of hissyfitting over not getting more than 6GB. nVidia took advantage of AMD not in the picture, the last time that happened was six years ago. I don't think you guys will wait that long, I'm pretty sure many of you will replace your Titans with something faster that has a smaller Vram, and you'll apologize for the decrease in Vram due to the increase in performance. So how about you guys just play your games at the complacency of not having to worry about the numbers for a while, take a break from having to see your frame rates and Vram usage? When I play games, I don't need to know those numbers, I only care about having enough ammo and whether I die before the checkpoint or not.

the 800 series will kill the titans for sure, i just hope for an higher count of CUDA cores with 6GB of VRAM with a 384-bit or higher Memory Interface in the higher end versions of the 800 series, if not then ill get an 800 series titan if its $999 or lower with those spec.

No surprise thier, I knew those on 3 monitor surround would love the 6GB of the Titan I'm gonna be soon running a 4GB GTX 670 on just a single 1920x1080 screen which is more then enough. I'm getting the 4GB one mainly cause I run texture mods in games, and 1920x1080 is breaking the 2GB barrier anyway with newer games.
