Disclaimers:
1.  I built the machine for a friend, it's not in my possession.
2.  As much as I loathe it, I do provide tech support for them.
3.  Its video cards have been upgraded at least once, if not more.  I don't know if or how precautions were done.
4.  Unless other hardware conflicts with it, all I know is that it runs Win7 and has an i7.
5.  The hard drive has been reformatted, but not zero filled.  It could easily and still be corrupted.
6.  The connection has been tested alongside a Samsung Chronos 7 and it has no problems.
7.  Drivers are up to date (from what I've been told).

Anyways, before I try busting my head over this I just want to know what could be causing the following:

1.  BF3 is unplayable with a '2 second delay' constantly.
2.  FFXIV is playable, but disconnects every '64 minutes'.
3.  Internet browsing and VoIP (such as Ventrilo) are unaffected.

Cheers if there's something I can go off of, I'm guessing either corruption or something in the Windows stack.

    Good afternoon,

It sounds like your friend is having more a network issue than anything. However if it's related to the network port this motherboard as two, first thing would be try the secondary. Next try updating/re-install the network drivers: http://cdn.evga.com/driver/setup_v11.45.4.3.zip Depending on the ISP and network setup I would recommend either setting up port forwarding for these games or even try setting up a DMZ. As for the laptop does your friend game on it or just browse the internet?

First try BF3, if you go the port forwarding route try EAs FAQ: https://help.ea.com/article/online-ports-for-battlefield-3

I know for me personally, if I don't have a DMZ setup League of Legends constantly disconnects and/or has an extremely high ping.

Please let me know if this helps or you have any other questions.
