This game, quite frankly, is awesome if you like old school, gritty RPGs.

I have been playing closed beta since last Spring. Over that time they have made some great progress in polishing the game. The skill tree is by far one of the greatest strengths of the game. If you like very extensive customization in an RPG games, this deserves a look. You can build pretty much anything you can think of as well as customize your gear and abilities. The itemization is incredible...as is the game play itself (granted these things are always subjective...it isn't for everyone of course).

These guys nailed it...well, at least for how I like this genre. You have complete control of how you want to play. Unlike a lot of recent games, PoE takes us back a bit to when this genre was a bit more in depth.

Of course my characters get wiped on Tuesday...but oddly enough I am perfectly content as the game is so much fun I am actually looking forward to doing it all over again. Cannot wait to see the new content and rebuild a few characters (witch and ranger).

If anyone is going to play, look me up. Same account name as these forums :)

Oh, it is free as well.

Edit: here is the trailer for the beta...
