anyway like the title says this is wired so I have the very first computer I ever built . it was on mods and rigs anyway I took it out to dust it off to see if I could run a lan server for freelancer on it. so started it up and I got every code in the book all night looking on the owners manual looking at codes . so at 1:30am I went to bed. this morning I took everything out of the case and started it up everything works fine ? wired.

    Sounds like you had a short somewhere, if it was in the case all those years something with some weight may have flexed the board a bit from hanging all that time and caused a short.
    Or the CPU cooler block may just be a bit tight and when it is in the case causes a short and lying down flat the board once again does not flex much so the short goes away.

    I don't know but it shorted before with the same power supply but all is good now. before the hydro cooler I had a cheap cooler master cooler it looked like the one you get with the cpu from intel.
