Looking like I have to RMA my wife's board. It has no BIOS options to tune RAM clocks or adjust speed, SPD profile or bus ratio. All I can change are the bus speed, CPU multi and voltages for all the chips and such.

Problems arose not long after I noticed that the 800MHz 1.8v 5-5-5-18 RAM was running at 700MHz??? and 5-6-5-19??? where these crazy timings came from I don't know and how 800MHz RAM runs at 700MHZ is beyond me. This is with the entire machine at stock, I updated the BIOS to most recent and nothing. After swapping out RAM to define the problem the onboard NIC had failed...Changed RAM back and same. Re-install OS and nothing different. Safe mode, same story...

I submitted a ticket and got a quick response but their english skills are not the best.

Anyone had any experience with an RMA with Gigabyte? I just want to know what to expect.

Tech support just told me to submit and RMA request, let's see how this goes if it does. Never had board go bad so far.

Kinda sucks when your not dealing with Evga RMA. With these other companies you don't know what to expect. At least with Evga, we will get a smooth and fast RMA process. Good luck with Gigabyte.

I would have gone with EVGA for both our builds but I did not want to drop $300+ for each CPU and $250+ for each board.
